My Pet Gila Monster?
This Gila Monster (Pronounced Hila Monster) is somewhat not to scale ;). It took me 3 years to get this one done. It has a Styrofoam core with a concrete like shell. The claws are baked clay and glued on. The skin texture was the real hold up. That's what took so long to figure out. It literally came to me one day by accident while painting my walls. But how that came to be is still my secret. I did have fun when I posted this monster along with one of my cats sitting next to it. People actually thought the cat was its dinner. It is about 4' long. So no, Gila Monsters do not get that big.
